Founded in 1991, Al-Huda School was established to provide quality Islamic education, Arabic language and Quranic learning for young Muslims in Melbourne. We teach students from Prep and above across two campuses, in Noble Park and Werribee.

Our story
Al-Huda School was established in 1991 by members of our community who wanted their children to grow up with a strong connection to the Quran, the Arabic language, and the teachings of Islam — alongside their weekday education.
What began as a small weekend class has grown into two campuses serving families across Melbourne, with dedicated teachers and hundreds of students. For over 30 years, generations of the same families have learned with us — and many of our teachers today were once our students.
Our mission
Our mission is to nurture faith, knowledge and identity — to empower students with strong Islamic values and the skills to contribute positively to society.
Al-Huda is not a business. We are a da'wah and community service — a place of learning offered for the sake of Allah and for the benefit of our community.
Our approach
Every class is thoughtfully designed, combining Islamic studies with modern learning methods. From Quran recitation and Arabic literacy to interactive activities and community events, Al-Huda equips students to live their faith proudly in every aspect of life.
We believe every child belongs here. Our approach to guidance is restorative rather than punitive: when a student is finding things difficult, we work with them and their family to understand what's going on and help them reconnect and stay part of the class. Our aim is always to keep a child included and supported.
We also believe in honest, patient progress. Learning Arabic and the Quran takes time, and we meet each student where they are. Steady growth from a strong foundation matters more to us than rushing ahead.
Beyond the classroom
Learning at Al-Huda reaches beyond lessons. Each morning begins with an assembly, where students gather for Quran and du'as before class. Throughout the year we hold school-wide assemblies to mark Islamic occasions, events that bring our two campuses together, and end-of-year celebrations and award ceremonies.
We also welcome professionals from our own community to mentor and coach our students — including guidance on their schooling and future pathways — helping them grow beyond their Islamic studies. And at our Noble Park campus we run a Mothers class, a welcoming space for mothers to learn and strengthen their own Islamic knowledge.
